Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) is a leading provider of mental health and specialist learning disabilities services in the UK. We are currently seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated individual to provide clinical leadership to one of our South-West Community Mental Health Teams in Watford. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing diagnostic assessments and treatment to service users with severe, complex, and high-risk psychiatric conditions.

The role involves managing, appraising, and giving professional supervision to junior medical staff, ensuring they operate within the parameters of the New Deal and comply with Working Time Directive regulations. You will also participate in service and business planning activities, attend academic programs, and maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council.

Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management
  • Holds a full valid driving license
  • Expertise in at least one principal form of psychotherapy
  • Experience working with people requiring care through secondary mental health services
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £105,504 - £139,882 per annum, depending on experience. HPFT offers a range of benefits, including a competitive pension scheme, generous annual leave, and access to training and development opportunities.
