Area Repairs and Voids Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Repairs and Voids Manager to join our Resident Services team at Brent Council-Housing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a sector-leading customer experience in the Repairs and Voids Service.
Key Responsibilities- Contract manage Responsive Repairs specialist contractors, including contract administration, managing payments, variations, and claims resolution.
- Develop and maintain policies such as the Repairs Policy and Service Standards, consulting with stakeholders and ensuring delivery through to the approvals process.
- Proactively manage specialist areas such as disrepair and dampness, managing budgets and work programmes in order to resolve customer dissatisfaction and reduce stigma.
- Uphold the guidelines set out by the Social Housing Regulation Act 2023, demonstrating a commitment to improving standards and ensuring the safety and quality of our social housing in compliance with this critical legislation.
- Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience, accompanied by a relevant technical qualification such as RICS, MCIOB, or CIOH.
- PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification desirable.
- Strong operational knowledge of contract and budget administration, policy development and implementation, and an awareness of relevant legislation, service standards, customer expectations, and risk management.
- Experience in managing property service teams within the housing sector, dealing with performance management of contractors, and handling specialist areas such as structural works, disrepair, dampness, and mould.
