About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Financial Shared Services team at Tunstall Healthcare (UK) Ltd. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that supplier invoices are authorized, approved, and paid in accordance with company policy and agreed terms of payment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure approval of all supplier's accounts in line with Company Policy
  • Verify all invoices for arithmetic, legality, agreement to an approved purchase order; correct accounting for VAT; correct accounts coding and cost centre charging
  • Authorize all invoices at the relevant level
  • Process invoices against purchase orders and ensure purchase orders are closed on IFS and that any differences are thoroughly investigated and corrected where appropriate
  • Ensure that all payments are on time and within the agreed supplier terms
  • Process all returns of goods, price queries and credit notes accurately and in a timely manner
  • Resolve all supplier queries as quickly as possible and ensure that the supplier is fully informed of any reasons for withholding payment
  • Ensure that the purchase ledger function continues to run effectively during periods of holiday and absence
  • Reconcile supplier statements monthly
  • Collaborate with all areas of the business to develop a seamless and efficient purchase to pay process
Requirements
  • Proven Accounts Payable experience in a medium to large organization
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to use own initiative to resolve problems and work as part of a team
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Good IT skills including with MS Excel
  • Results-driven and motivated to meet and exceed expectations
  • Customer-focused and deliver a high level of customer service both internally and externally
  • Resilient and proactive in achieving results
  • Ambitious and looking to develop their role and career within Tunstall
