This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), requiring onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities:

In the role of Production Planning Lead, you will oversee production and material planning to guarantee the successful execution of the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Forecasting and planning, while managing processes and transactions in alignment with our sales and operations planning (S&OP) framework.
  • Assisting in the forecasting process, including updating templates, consolidating feedback, analyzing results, and loading MPS.
  • Participating in S&OP monthly meetings and providing necessary input regarding Production Planning.
  • Liaising with procurement teams to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules.
  • Contributing to the overall strategy for supply chain and operational management.
  • Supporting production to meet delivery timelines and ensuring on-time-in-full (OTIF) shipments.
  • Managing engineering changes to mitigate obsolescence risks.
  • Modifying production bills of materials (BOMs) as necessary.
  • Addressing any issues that may disrupt the production plan and coordinating with relevant departments.
  • Creating and managing production plans effectively.
  • Raising and scheduling production orders to support MRP/MPS requirements.
  • Striving to minimize production work-in-progress (WIP) by collaborating with production staff.
  • Maintaining accurate control over inventories, WIP, and waste while ensuring contractual obligations are met.
  • Facilitating effective communication with managers and team leaders to achieve company objectives.
  • Upholding high standards of housekeeping.
  • Applying continuous improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in a production planning environment.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, with a preference for IFS.
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems to support robust manufacturing plans.
  • Expertise in producing master schedules for production and monitoring their progress.
  • Multi-level planning experience, preferably in a manufacturing context, involving MRP/MPS systems.
  • A strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in stock control and inventory management.
  • An analytical mindset, comfortable working with numerical data.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in intermediate Excel for planning and reporting.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability to change.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A flexible approach, with a willingness to collaborate and support team efforts.
