Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager to lead our product development, product support, and regulatory management teams. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, managing customer queries, and driving new product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Management
    • Ensure products comply with relevant regulations, such as CLP, REACH, Cosmetics Regulation, and Detergents Regulation.
    • Manage customer queries and provide technical support.
    • Review regulatory horizon to identify upcoming risks and ensure future compliance.
  • New Product Development
    • Work with customers to develop new products that meet their needs and requirements.
    • Manage and improve the new product introduction (NPI) process.
  • Existing Product Support
    • Refine existing products to meet changing regulations and raw material availability.
  • Line Management
    • Lead a team of development chemists and the QC Lab team.
  • Production Support
    • Work with the operations team to resolve production challenges.
  • Raw Material Management
    • Manage and refine raw material data.
    • Support the Procurement Manager with introducing new materials.
  • Label Compliance
    • Manage artwork review to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • COSHH
    • Work with the SHEQ Manager to ensure appropriate documentation for chemicals on site.
  • Customer Interaction
    • Support the sales team with new and existing business.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Experience as a Technical Manager or Head of Technical.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
