Job Description:

The Head of Procurement will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies to optimize expenditure and standardize processes across UK plants. This will involve:

  • Developing and executing procurement strategies: The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive cost savings and improve efficiency.
  • Negotiating contracts: The Head of Procurement will negotiate long-term contracts with suppliers to ensure optimum costs and reliable supply.
  • Managing the buying team: The successful candidate will coordinate and support the buying team to run tenders and negotiations on key categories to deliver optimum value.
  • Developing supplier relationships: The Head of Procurement will develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience: The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a procurement or purchasing/supply chain role.
  • Solution-orientated mindset: The Head of Procurement will have a solution-orientated mindset with a high sense of quality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop supplier relationships: The successful candidate will have the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
