About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Administrator to join our team at Newmedica. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our clinics, managing patient data, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage patient data, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records in our electronic patient record system.
  • Coordinate clinic schedules, booking appointments, and ensuring timely communication with patients and staff.
  • Provide administrative support to the Patient Admin Lead, including managing clinic diaries, patient reminders, and clinical correspondence.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all telephone enquiries and email correspondence from patients and staff, resolving or escalating issues as necessary.
  • Collaborate with GPs and other clinicians to resolve enquiries and provide assistance with examination/clinic letter reports.
  • Balance clinic workload and patient flow to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize wait times.
  • Proactively manage DNAs and referrals, ensuring timely communication with patients and staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Experience in a similar administrative role, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong team player attitude.
  • Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to learn new patient record systems.
