About the Role
Courtside Surgery is seeking an experienced and reliable Administrative Assistant to join our team in supporting our patients and clinical staff at the surgery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks, including registering new patients, assisting with general patient queries, referrals administration, managing medical records, processing requests for repeat prescriptions, and dealing with incoming clinical correspondence.
Main Responsibilities
- Process referrals and support the clinical staff using the appropriate referral pathways and processes
- Process incoming clinical correspondence and ensure it is actioned appropriately
- Process and issue repeat prescriptions using a computerised clinical system in keeping with the practice protocol through reference to automated prompts
- Assist with patient recall processes and data quality initiatives
- Provide general administrative support to the Practice Team
Requirements
- Experience of working in an administrative role
- Good general education including GCSE passes in Maths and English or equivalent
- Proficient in IT and willingness to learn new systems
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Able to work proactively, multi-task and use initiative
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexible approach to undertaking a wide variety of tasks
- Willingness to learn new skills and processes
- Team player
- Confident in working independently
