Main Responsibilities

This is a key role providing administrative support for our small friendly corporate Patient Safety Team. Excellent IT and communication skills to support the team are essential.

Key Tasks
  • Provide administrative support for the corporate Patient Safety Team.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks and duties.
  • Support the team in the development and implementation of patient safety initiatives.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience of managing a complex and varied workload.
  • Extensive experience in dealing with highly sensitive enquiries and information.
  • Experience of working in a role with a focus on good record keeping.
  • Previous NHS experience.
  • Understanding and use of specialist medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of NHS policies and/or procedures.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook E-mail, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective organisational skills and ability to plan and co-ordinate activities.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with a wide range of staff, patients and families.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
