Barnardo's Scotland Fostering Edinburgh seeks an experienced Child Welfare Expert to coordinate the fostering service. This role involves working with foster carers, promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the fostering service, ensuring the well-being of children and young people.
- Provide guidance and support to foster carers, promoting best practices.
- Develop and deliver training programs for foster carers and adopters.
- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including Local Authorities and other agencies.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Relevant Social Work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CSS, CQSW).
- Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Previous experience in childcare settings or Family Placement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and prioritize tasks effectively.
