Job Title: Child Protection Specialist

Barnardo's Scotland Fostering Edinburgh are hiring an experienced Child Protection Specialist to work on a Full Time (37 hours) permanent basis.

This role involves working in a hybrid environment with an office base in Edinburgh, but requiring flexibility to attend meetings and training across Scotland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and advice to foster carers, ensuring the welfare of children remains paramount. This includes working alongside others to provide guidance, representing the voice of children and carers, delivering relevant training to foster carers, and responding to the needs of young people and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to foster carers, ensuring they meet National Standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure the voice of children and carers is represented.
  • Deliver high-quality training to foster carers, adapting materials to meet their needs.
  • Be flexible to respond to the changing needs of young people, carers, and colleagues.

Salary: £36,200 - £38,000 per annum
