Internal Sales Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and organised Internal Sales Business Development Specialist to join our Sales Team on a permanent contract.
This role will be responsible for working in partnership with a portfolio of customers, providing exceptional consultative insights to anticipate specific customer needs and increase sales. The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver excellent consultative advice to improve the customer experience and their business to generate sales.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience of working in an internal Sales Coordinator role, excellent interpersonal skills and rapport building skills, and the ability to translate customer account history into opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell.
The company offers a competitive starting salary of £35,000 per annum, a Performance Profit Related Bonus (PPRB) of around 8% of salary paid annually, and a range of other benefits including up to 29 days annual leave, 5% pension contribution, and private medical cover.
In return, the company is looking for someone who is committed to ongoing learning and training, has excellent attention to detail, and is able to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success by developing positive relationships with customers.
- Follow up samples and quotations, converting these to sales.
- Ensure accounts are constantly aware of active promotions available, follow up and generate new business through own initiative, social media and marketing activity to increase sales.
- Manage a dedicated Area Sales Managers diary; use internal tools and systems to manage the day-to-day running of your data, ensuring systems are maintained and updated at all times.
- Liaise with other departments including Transport, Accounts, Marketing, Laboratory and Production.
