Lead Safeguarding Adult Specialist

This exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to lead the Corporate Safeguarding Team as the Trust's Adult Safeguarding Lead.

Main Responsibilities

The postholder will be responsible for developing and implementing the Trust's safeguarding adult agenda, ensuring policies, procedures, and governance systems meet statutory, national, and local requirements.

They will collaborate with multi-agency professionals to ensure timely and effective handling of safeguarding concerns and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Significant experience in a leadership role in adult safeguarding
  • Highly specialist knowledge in working with complex family situations, mental health, and substance misuse in relation to safeguarding adults
  • Legal literacy in adult safeguarding
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support others in a sensitive manner
Job Requirements
  • Registered nurse/registered professional (Social worker/Allied Health Professional)
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Proven years of post-registration experience in safeguarding, including senior leadership roles
