Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at IPEX. This role will be responsible for implementing Human Resource principles in a wide range of activities, including orientation, payroll coordination, compensation and benefits, and liaison with Corporate Training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Streamline onboarding procedures and conduct new employee orientations to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Administer and process all hourly payroll, benefits, and RRSP programs with accuracy and compliance.
  • Verify employee timecards and payroll records using an electronic software to ensure accuracy and adherence to policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Review computed wages, complete adjustments, and correct discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of earnings.
  • Coordinate and manage Short Term and Long Term Disability Claims and Return to Work for non-occupational illnesses or injuries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records for Attendance, Training, Postings, and Chronology of positions, Disciplinary Actions, Performance Appraisals.
  • Create and maintain HR monthly reports for management, including turnover, absenteeism, and workforce planning.
  • Develop and administer effective rewards and recognition programs in collaboration with the HR team.
  • Support employee engagement activities and initiatives, including events and annual training.
  • Administer the employee engagement survey and participate in crafting an action plan with management.
  • Partner with the COE to issue HR training to hourly employees on policies and procedures.
  • Support and facilitate the performance management process.
  • Conduct Exit Interviews to gather feedback and insights.
  • Publish important communications to employees using appropriate communication channels.
  • Maintain and participate in 5S and Continuous Improvement practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience administering and processing Payroll required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • University or College Diploma in Human Resources; or equivalent combination of education and experience – CHRP In Progress preferred.
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is an asset.
  • Previous experience with an automated time and attendance system (e.g. Kronos, Dayforce) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of relevant provincial and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
