About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Administrative Support Officer. As part of our busy Customer Service Centre, you will be responsible for handling inbound customer contact and providing quality support, advice, and guidance service to both internal and external customers.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is able to use their communication skills to deliver a consistent and productive service to our customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound customer contact via telephone calls and email correspondence
  • Deliver a high-quality service to internal and external customers
  • Support the promotion of DVSA's digital services
  • Action customer requirements in line with current procedures and practices
  • Ensure all administrative work is completed accurately and recorded correctly
  • Use information resources to support customer service

What You'll Need

  • Good written and communication skills
  • Ability to handle challenging enquiries
  • Basic computer literacy skills e.g. keyboard, word processing skills and Microsoft applications
  • Prioritise workloads to aid productivity
  • Willingness to work flexibly around the needs of DVSA to provide cover to all customer groups
  • 100% office attendance is required during the training period

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £12.36 per hour on a full-time basis. You will also accrue holiday hours as you work and have access to Brook Street (UK) Ltd's back-office support and mentoring.
