Temporary Female Complex Needs Worker
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced female Complex Needs Worker to join our temporary team at Corus Consultancy. This role involves working with vulnerable clients who require support with addressing complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Holding a caseload of 5 key clients and conducting regular key working sessions to develop and implement tailored support plans.
- Completing thorough needs and risk assessments, as well as developing and implementing risk management plans.
- Working in a gender-informed manner, acknowledging the impact of clients' gender and cultural background on their specific needs.
- Collaborating with clients to achieve their goal of moving into suitable long-term accommodation within 28 days, while also supporting them in maintaining this accommodation.
- Effectively managing risks related to VAWG and contributing to a multi-agency framework aimed at reducing these risks.
- Working collaboratively with internal and external departments to ensure clients' needs are thoroughly assessed and addressed.
- Supporting clients in accessing necessary specialist services, such as substance abuse treatment, mental health support, and complex trauma services.
- Ensuring clients maximize their income by accessing relevant benefits, teaching budgeting skills, and setting up bank accounts.
- Assisting clients who are ready to engage in work, education, or training by facilitating access to suitable courses or placements.
- Preparing vacant properties for letting within agreed deadlines and efficiently processing referrals through initial needs assessments and interviews.
- Conducting room and building checks, reporting, and following up on hazards, repairs, and maintenance issues in a timely manner.
Essential Requirements:
- Substantial experience working with victims of VAWG, domestic violence, and other forms of gender-based violence.
- Prior experience in helping individuals set and achieve personal goals, along with supporting them through significant life changes.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex situations involving people, including remaining calm during crises and taking swift, effective action in response to difficult situations.
- Proven track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders to coordinate efforts and achieve positive outcomes.
- A non-judgmental approach to working with individuals with complex needs, focusing on strengths-based support.
- In-depth knowledge of financial support options available to clients to maximize their income, manage rent payments, and enhance financial stability.
- Understand the importance of professional boundaries in providing trauma-informed support.
- Familiarity with various IT applications and basic computer skills, along with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage administrative tasks.
- Strong organizational skills, enabling independent work, efficient prioritization, and exceptional quality delivery.
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per year
