Trauma Informed Caseworker

This is an exciting opportunity to join Victim Support as a Trauma Informed Caseworker, working with vulnerable individuals and families affected by crime. You will be responsible for developing and implementing support plans, providing regular briefings, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop individualized support plans for service users and their families
- Provide trauma-informed advocacy and support, ensuring a safe and non-judgmental space for victims
- Build and maintain effective relationships with Police Major Crime teams, other agencies, and community groups
- Manage a high volume of cases, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Contribute to ongoing research and evaluation initiatives to inform best practices in trauma-informed care
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field; or equivalent experience
- Proven track record of working with vulnerable populations, including victims of crime and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
Salary: £37,500 - £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience
