Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Departmental Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of maintenance and renewal work across our network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress and identify potential risks or issues.
  • Develop and implement effective work plans to meet business objectives and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and propose asset renewals and maintenance strategies.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Contribute to the development of safety procedures and protocols to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and report on work quality, safety performance, and asset condition to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a rail or infrastructure environment.
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures, protocols, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions to business problems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Hold relevant qualifications or certifications, such as NVQ level 2 or 3 in a relevant subject.
