Acute Paediatrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Acute Paediatrician to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our paediatric department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our young patients and their families.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in acute paediatrics. You will be working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our patients, from initial assessment to discharge.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality care to patients with acute paediatric conditions, including medical, surgical, and child protection cases.
- Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our patients.
- Conduct thorough assessments and investigations to diagnose and manage complex paediatric conditions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced paediatrician who possesses the following qualities:
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice and entry on the Specialist Register or in receipt of CCT within six months of interview.
- Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (or equivalent).
- Completed Specialist Training (or equivalent).
- Completed and up-to-date APLS/NLS (or equivalent) and level 3 Child Protection Training.
- Proven experience in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
