Job Title: Acute Paediatrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Acute Paediatrician to join our team at Furness General Hospital. As a key member of our paediatric department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our young patients and their families.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide acute and non-acute paediatric care, including medical, surgical, child protection, resuscitation, and neonatal care
  • Lead clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring they receive the necessary training and support
  • Contribute to the development of medical education and multi-professional training programs
  • Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice and entry on the Specialist Register or in receipt of CCT within six months of interview
  • Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (or equivalent)
  • Completed Specialist Training (or equivalent)
  • Up-to-date APLS/NLS and level 3 Child Protection Training
  • Proven experience in clinical leadership and education
