Consultant Paediatrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Paediatrician to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. As a key member of our paediatric department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical care to children and young people with acute and non-acute paediatric problems, including medical, surgical, child protection, resuscitation, and neonatal care.
- Lead and manage a team of junior doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Develop and deliver medical education and training programs for junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice and entry on the Specialist Register or in receipt of CCT within six months of interview.
- Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (or equivalent).
- Completed Specialist Training (or equivalent).
- Completed and up to date with APLS/NLS (or equivalent) and level 3 Child Protection Training.
- Proven experience in clinical audit and leadership.
