Job Opportunity at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Paediatrician to join our team at Furness General Hospital. As a Paediatrician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare to children and young people across the Morecambe Bay Footprint.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide acute and non-acute paediatric care, including medical, surgical, child protection, resuscitation, and neonatal care
  • Contribute to clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in medical education and multi-professional training
  • Communicate effectively with patients, parents, and colleagues

Person Specification
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice and entry on the Specialist Register or in receipt of CCT within six months of interview
  • Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (or equivalent)
  • Completed Specialist Training (or equivalent)
  • APLS/NLS (or equivalent) and level 3 Child Protection Training
  • Proven experience in clinical audit and supervision
  • Recent active involvement in medical education and multi-professional training
