Acute Paediatrician Position

About the Role
University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic and motivated Consultant Paediatrician to join our established and expanding team at Furness General Hospital. As a key member of our paediatric department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to children and young people across the Morecambe Bay Footprint.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing acute and non-acute paediatric care, including medical, surgical, child protection, resuscitation, and neonatal care. You will also be expected to participate in clinical audit, clinical supervision of juniors, and delivery of medical education and multi-professional training.
Requirements
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice and entry on the Specialist Register or in receipt of CCT within six months of interview
- Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (or equivalent)
- Completed Specialist Training (or equivalent)
- Completed and up-to-date APLS/NLS (or equivalent) and level 3 Child Protection Training
- Proven experience in clinical audit and clinical supervision
- Recent active involvement in delivery of medical education and multi-professional training
Desirable Qualifications
- Evidence of attendance at professional meetings and courses/CPD
- Clinical supervision skills training
- Previous participation in a management role
- Evidence of leadership skills development within the work environment
- Completion of Educational Supervision training
