Acute Paediatrician

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Acute Paediatrician to join our team at Furness General Hospital. As a key member of our paediatric team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to children and young people across the Morecambe Bay footprint.
Main Duties- Provide acute and non-acute paediatric care, including medical, surgical, child protection, resuscitation, and neonatal care.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our paediatric services.
- Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
- Contribute to the delivery of medical education and multi-professional training, sharing your expertise with colleagues and students.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice and entry on the Specialist Register or in receipt of CCT within six months of interview.
- Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (or equivalent).
- Completed Specialist Training (or equivalent).
- Completed and up to date with APLS/NLS (or equivalent) and level 3 Child Protection Training.
- Proven experience in clinical audit and quality improvement.
- Ability to communicate and liaise effectively with patients, their parents, and other relatives, as well as colleagues in all disciplines.
- Able to travel to meet the requirements of the post.
- Evidence of attendance at appropriate professional meetings and courses/ meeting requirements of CPD.
