Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Delegated Authority Officer to join our team at Claims Recruitment Services. As a Delegated Authority Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth and effective running of our client's Delegated Authority processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the governance and oversight of all delegated authorities written on Syndicate paper.
  • Represent the company at Lloyd's or Market Delegated Authority meetings, such as DUM forums or Lloyd's Projects, in the absence of the Head of Delegated Authority.
  • Promote business engagement with Delegated Authority Requirements.
  • Provide day-to-day support, guidance, query resolution, supervision, and oversight of the Delegated Authority Analyst and Technician.
  • Provide absence or surge cover for the Delegated Authority Analyst and Technician.
  • Proactively manage workflow processes.
  • Monitor performance against Delegated Authority requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee the annual review of the Delegated Authority process guides, ensuring they are accurate and reflect best practice before sign-off by the Head of Delegated Authority.
  • Deliver the quarterly Delegated Authority Controls Reviews and present findings to the Head of Delegated Authority.
  • Process Lead DCOM entries, new Coverholder Applications, and mid-term contract changes, including endorsements or permission changes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a technical Delegated Authority role.
  • Experience of supervising or managing others.
  • Practical experience of sponsoring Coverholder Applications and conducting Coverholder due diligence.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • The confidence to challenge others, ask probing questions, and raise difficult topics that need to be addressed.
