Role SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Delegated Underwriting Authority Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the administration, oversight, and monitoring of delegated underwriting facilities at Arch Insurance. You will work closely with the Delegated Underwriting Authority Manager to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Due Diligence and Oversight: Conduct thorough due diligence reviews for new and renewing delegated underwriting facilities, including pre-bind quality assurance checks and completion of review forms within our Intarga system.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams (Underwriting, Claims, Compliance) and external partners (brokers, coverholders). Effectively communicate and collaborate to ensure smooth operations.
- Issue Resolution and Monitoring: Proactively identify and address potential issues arising during the life cycle of delegated facilities. Oversee the DUA Team mailbox, ensuring timely communication and escalation to relevant teams.
- Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of coverholder and binding authority information within Intarga. Produce regular and ad hoc reports to provide insights into delegated underwriting activities.
- Process Improvement: Assist the Delegated Authority Manager in developing and implementing systems and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong understanding of insurance principles, particularly delegated arrangements (binding authorities, consortia).
- Proven project management skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Delegated Underwriting Authority function within both Lloyd's and Company markets.
- Progressing towards CII qualifications or equivalent market certifications is highly desirable.
