About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Culinary Expert to join our team at Another Place, The Lake. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to the highest standards.

As a Culinary Expert, you will work closely with our Executive Chef and Head Chef to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and hygiene. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including staff meals, to the hotel's standards of quality and quantity.

We are looking for a team player who is passionate about good food, has a keen eye for detail, and is able to work well under pressure. If you have a passion for the food industry and are eager to develop your skills, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef and Head Chef in the effective and efficient organisation, supervision, and control of the kitchen operation.
  • Prepare, cook, and portion all food dishes, including staff meals, to the hotel's standards of quality and quantity.
  • Maintain the hotel's standards of department and personal appearance, cleanliness, and hygiene of the kitchen areas.
  • Comply with all instructions given by immediate supervisor.
  • Prepare for the day's business in accordance with projected need.
  • Follow all schedules within the kitchen and complete daily check sheets and temperature logs.
  • Assist colleagues in stocking up when necessary.
  • Ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the kitchen and back of house areas.
  • Responsible for undertaking the many tasks during the preparation, storage, and service of food and the other associated tasks.
  • Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and cleanliness whilst in the workplace.
  • Maintain an organised, clean, and safe workplace, not only for yourself but also for those around.
Requirements
  • Food Hygiene certificate
  • Flexible attitude to working hours and variable shift patterns
  • Interest and passion for the food industry
  • NVQ level 1& 2 or equivalent as a minimum
  • Team player
