Position Overview:

As a Catering Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing culinary operations at a distinguished venue. This position is ideal for an accomplished culinary expert who excels in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to providing outstanding food quality through the use of exceptional local ingredients. You will lead a kitchen where the commitment to local sourcing and culinary excellence is paramount.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in high-volume catering settings, with a solid hands-on cooking background.
  • Knowledgeable in food safety and health regulations, ensuring compliance with all standards.
  • Experienced in managing kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Capable of effectively planning daily preparation volumes and managing kitchen workflow to meet customer expectations without sacrificing quality.
  • Experience collaborating with management and other departments to control food inventory, minimize waste, and enhance sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the preparation of all dishes, ensuring adherence to established quality and presentation standards.
  • Assist the Lead Chef in the recruitment, training, and development of kitchen personnel.
  • Manage staff schedules and rotations in accordance with business needs.
  • Work alongside Station Managers to uphold food safety standards, manage inventory levels, and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Chef and Food and Experience Manager to launch new products and seasonal menus, ensuring effective communication with both kitchen and service teams.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to enhance kitchen operations and standards.
