Senior Substance Misuse School Link Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Substance Misuse School Link Practitioner to join our team at Catch22. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting schools across the region to develop effective policies, procedures, and training to address substance misuse concerns.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people, working in close partnership with Surrey Healthy Schools to shape and develop this role. You will have the opportunity to engage with a range of stakeholders, including education staff, parents, and carers, to provide support and guidance on substance misuse issues.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and deliver training for education staff on substance misuse awareness and prevention.
- Provide one-to-one support for parents and carers of children with substance misuse concerns.
- Work collaboratively with local schools and agencies to deliver a holistic package of care for children and young people.
- Offer initial triage and assessment for students with substance misuse concerns, and refer them to our substance misuse service as appropriate.
- Provide specialist harm reduction advice and information to parents and carers.
- Ensure timely and accurate data recording and reporting.
- NVQ3 Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Specialist knowledge of alcohol and substance misuse.
- Ability to engage with and build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience in delivering training and presentations to professionals and partners.
