Senior Substance Misuse School Link Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Substance Misuse School Link Practitioner. This role will involve working closely with schools across the region to develop and implement policies, procedures, and training related to substance misuse.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of substance misuse and its effects, as well as experience in delivering training and presentations to professionals and partners. They will also be able to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including schools, parents, and carers.
The main duties of this role will include:
- Developing and delivering training for education staff on substance misuse awareness and prevention.
- Providing support to parents and carers of children who have substance misuse concerns, including one-to-one targeted support and workshops.
- Working collaboratively with local schools and agencies to deliver a holistic package of care for children and young people.
- Offering initial triage and assessment for students with substance misuse concerns, and referring them to our substance misuse service as appropriate.
- Providing specialist harm reduction advice and information to parents and carers, and referring children to our service as needed.
- Ensuring timely and accurate data recording, including tracking, outcome monitoring, and KPI reporting.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in substance misuse, education, or a related field, and experience in delivering training and presentations. They should also be able to demonstrate a commitment to working with children and young people, and a passion for making a positive impact in their lives.
