We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Substance Misuse School Link Practitioner to join our team at Catch22. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting schools across the region to develop effective policies, procedures, and training to address substance misuse concerns.
As a Senior Substance Misuse School Link Practitioner, you will work closely with schools, parents, and carers to provide targeted support and guidance on substance misuse issues. You will also be responsible for delivering training and workshops to education staff and parents, as well as providing one-to-one support to parents and carers of children with substance misuse concerns.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people, and to contribute to the development of a comprehensive substance misuse service that supports the needs of schools and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver training and workshops for education staff and parents on substance misuse awareness and prevention.
- Provide one-to-one support and guidance to parents and carers of children with substance misuse concerns.
- Work closely with schools and other agencies to develop effective policies and procedures to address substance misuse concerns.
- Collaborate with local authorities and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to substance misuse prevention and support.
- Contribute to the development of a comprehensive substance misuse service that supports the needs of schools and the wider community.
- NVQ3 Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Specialist knowledge of alcohol and substance misuse, including the associated risks and effects.
- Ability to engage with and build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including schools, parents, and carers.
- Experience of delivering training and workshops to education staff and parents.
