About the Role
The Customer Export Representative plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth management of shipping and export processes for our global customer base. This position involves proactively addressing customer inquiries, ensuring efficient export administration, and adhering to company standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Process global shipments and prepare export shipping documentation.
- Book and coordinate with Freight Forwarders.
- Ensure export compliance by tracking, checking, and storing export declarations and AWB's.
- Liaise with customers and internal departments to address inquiries and resolve issues.
- Respond to export and invoice queries promptly and accurately.
- Provide backup support for team members, including order entry and order confirmations.
- Manage contract reviews to ensure adherence to LAND's terms, conditions, and DLA processes.
- Enter and interpret data in internal databases, SAP ERP, and CRM tools.
- Support international offices, representatives, and distributors.
- Promote and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer service standards and profitability.
Experience and Professional Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a Customer Service environment.
- Previous experience of SAP Business Systems is desirable.
- Familiarity with export procedures and documentation.
- Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
- Computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft products.
- Good problem-solving skills, communication, influencing, and assertiveness.
- Outstanding customer service and relationship building.
