The Opportunity Hub UK: Graduate PR Account Executive

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate PR Account Executive to join our team in Brighton.

This entry-level role is ideal for graduates looking to launch their careers in the Public Relations sector. As a dynamic and forward-thinking individual, you will be an exceptional writer, proficient in social media, and have a deep interest in the media, communications, and charity/social purpose sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting press releases and crafting pitches for news, features, and lifestyle media
  • Liaising with clients, journalists, associates, and suppliers
  • Monitoring media coverage, creating coverage lists, and generating reports
  • Creating and maintaining media lists, staying updated on industry changes, including new roles and media platforms
  • Monitoring and scanning daily news and journalist requests
  • Managing and growing our social media channels, including creating engaging content, templates, blogs, and articles
  • Updating and maintaining our website
  • Performing various administrative duties

Requirements:

  • A degree in public relations, communications, or journalism is required
  • Some experience in a business setting, strong writing skills, and fluent communication abilities are also essential
  • Additional skills include good organizational skills, email management, and reporting
  • Knowledge of copywriting, editing, and social media platforms is also required

Benefits:

  • An estimated salary of £23,400 per annum pro rata
  • A high potential to grow to a full-time permanent opportunity
  • A 6-month contract with a minimum of 3 days a week
