Finance Director Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to join our client's team in Yeovil. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the board of directors and senior management team to manage the company's internal financial health and strategy.

The successful candidate will have a strong commercial awareness and entrepreneurial flair, capable of working closely with major clients and decision-makers outside of finance, while managing a team. They will be responsible for operational accounting, team management, analysis, and strategic forecasting.

The company is technology-focused, requiring sharp IT aptitude with MS Excel and digital accounting tools to produce detailed cashflow models for commercial properties. A strong awareness of audit, compliance, and internal controls is essential.

The role offers a generous base salary (negotiable DOE) and car allowance (£7.5K), a performance-related bonus, competitive pension, private healthcare, life assurance, and future share options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the company's internal financial health and strategy
  • Work closely with the board of directors and senior management team
  • Operational accounting, team management, analysis, and strategic forecasting
  • Meet with and present to clients, providing high-quality commercial advice and financial performance commentary

Requirements:

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 5 years of commercial accounting experience
  • Strong commercial awareness and entrepreneurial flair
  • Sharp IT aptitude with MS Excel and digital accounting tools
