About the Role:

Oyster Care Homes is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Executive Director of Care Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of exceptional care to our residents, ensuring that our care homes meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor the care delivered to residents, ensuring that legal requirements are met and the highest standards are maintained.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with statutory and legal requirements relevant to the care home.
  • Order, check in, and stock control of residents' prescribed medication, maintaining effective stock management systems.
  • Recruit suitable team members, conduct effective inductions, and ensure CIS standards are met.
  • Identify and meet training needs for the team, carry out regular supervisions, and lead team meetings to maintain a friendly and supportive environment.
  • Control and monitor the budget and expenditure of the care home, preparing monthly cash flow reports for the directors and accurately recording all financial information.
  • Support residents with their personal financial arrangements, maintaining confidentiality of all information.
  • Responsible for the marketing, promotion, and sales of the care home.
  • Ability to control and manage budgets and accounts.
  • Committed to a structured approach to training and development of staff.
  • Leadership qualities, enthusiasm, influencing, and motivational skills.
  • Understanding of Yeovil's local authority.
  • Experience with regulatory bodies.
  • Knowledge of Person Centred Software (PCS).
