Job Overview
James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an accomplished HR Manager to lead HR operations and act as a key point of contact for stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional advice and support across all aspects of HR.

About the Role
We are working with a Further Education College based in south Birmingham to recruit this talented individual on a permanent basis. The estimated salary for this role is up to £45,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Line Management: Provide operational line management and coordination of the HR team.
  2. Recruitment and Selection: Lead and manage the recruitment and selection process, developing a robust system to ensure fairness and appropriate hires.
  3. Safer Recruitment: Ensure effective pre-employment checks are completed as part of Safer Recruitment and compliance with DBS/safeguarding obligations.
  4. Employee Relations: Manage employee relations issues including conducting investigations, grievances, disciplinaries, absences and other meetings in line with company policies and procedures.
  5. Training Development: Develop and deliver training to line managers on best practice.
  6. HR Policy Review: Review, update and draft HR policies and procedures in line with changes in legislation and company requirements, in conjunction with the Director of HR.

Requirements
  1. Experience: Experience working within the education/not-for-profit sector.
  2. Certification: CIPD L5.
  3. Generalist HR Experience: Strong generalist HR experience.
