Nuclear Analysis Professional

Take your first step towards a career in fusion energy with our Graduate Nuclear Analyst role. As part of our two-year graduate scheme, you will develop and modify models to conduct research projects on radiation transport modelling or activation calculations.
The nuclear analysis of these models will inform the design and safety of future power plants. With an estimated salary of £32,729 + excellent benefits, you will be based in the Applied Radiation Technology (ART) group within the Fusion Technology Division (FTD).
The FTD is at the forefront of taking the UK's fusion expertise into the age of power plant delivery. You will work on a variety of tasks across three disciplines: Technical / Professional knowledge, Project Management, and People Management. Develop knowledge and understanding of fusion relevant topics and apply this learning to assigned projects.
Liaise with other teams and groups to build networks and ensure effective collaboration. Promote and support the broader Fusion Technology Division to ensure project success. Engage in active information sharing with staff and students, define and oversee Early Career projects. Champion and share best practice to promote respect, inclusion, and opportunity across UKAEA.
