Job Description

The Tritium Fuel Cycle Engineer will be responsible for designing, constructing, and operating tritium life cycle facilities. This includes:

  • Developing and implementing waste assay plans, including data analysis and production of scientific reports.
  • Creating Best Available Technique (BAT) assessments, literature reviews, and optioneering studies.
  • Supporting WIG teams with activities related to waste management and disposal, including sampling, assays, and peer reviews.
  • Liaising with off-site and on-site laboratories to produce compliant waste for disposal.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical sciences, environmental sciences, or nuclear engineering, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrable ability to question existing scientific models and express ideas clearly through written reports.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills.
