Culham Centre for Fusion Energy is a leading research organisation dedicated to advancing the field of fusion energy. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Graduate Research Scientist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves working within the Tritium Fuel Cycle Division, where you will be responsible for completing a core suite of tasks and work activities designed to develop professional skills. These may include placements within other parts of the UKAEA Organisation, tailored to personal development needs and specific job roles.

In addition to delivering high-impact research and development programmes, the Tritium Fuel Cycle division is also responsible for designing, delivering, and operating cutting-edge tritium life cycle facilities. You will contribute to developing productive collaborations and growing a community of experts through knowledge sharing and assimilation.

Requirements
  • A successful completion of a relevant degree or equivalent level in Physics, Chemistry, Chemical/Process, Materials Science, or relevant STEM Discipline;
  • A highly inquisitive personality that can question existing scientific models and express themselves clearly through high-quality written deliverables, delivered in a timely manner;
  • The ability to learn how to define, structure, and deliver small projects and manage delivery of your own work;

Salary and Benefits
