Senior Payroll Officer Position

A Senior Payroll Officer position has become available at a thriving UK-based organisation. We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our client's team on a permanent basis.
Key responsibilities include supporting the payroll manager during annual leave, managing two payroll officers, and providing extensive payroll knowledge and troubleshooting expertise. You will also be responsible for dealing with enquiries from all levels, performing manual calculations, and supporting internal and external auditors.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and their impact on the P&L and Balance Sheet. Experience with accounts balance sheet reconciliations and Salary Sacrifice Pensions is essential. In-depth knowledge of legislation affecting payroll, including minimum wage requirements, is also necessary. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a full understanding of the production of the PSA and Benefits in Kind implications for tax codes.
