Payroll Manager Role

Adaptable Recruitment Careers is delighted to partner with a thriving UK-based organisation seeking an experienced Payroll Manager on a permanent basis.
Based in Liverpool city centre, you will work a hybrid model reporting directly to the Payroll Manager. This role comes with a competitive salary of £46,000 - £48,000 per annum and a 37.5 hour working week with flexible working options available.
Key responsibilities include supporting the payroll manager during annual leave, managing two payroll officers, and providing extensive payroll knowledge and troubleshooting expertise. You will also be responsible for dealing with enquiries from all levels, performing manual calculations, and supporting internal and external auditors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and their impact on the P&L and Balance Sheet. Experience with accounts balance sheet reconciliations and Salary Sacrifice Pensions is essential. In-depth knowledge of legislation affecting payroll, including minimum wage requirements, is also necessary. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a full understanding of the production of the PSA and Benefits in Kind implications for tax codes.
