**Role:** SEMH Teacher (Autism Specialist)


**Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Teacher to join our team in Sheffield. The successful candidate will work directly with students who have Autism and other SEMH needs, helping them navigate their academic and social-emotional development.


**Responsibilities:


  1. Develop and implement personalised learning strategies to help students access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  2. Regularly assess student progress and provide insightful feedback to parents and colleagues to support their academic growth.
  3. Foster a nurturing and secure environment, offering emotional guidance and encouragement to help students manage their anxieties and social challenges.
  4. Ensure effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in each student's educational journey.
  5. Advocate for inclusivity within the school community, ensuring that students with Autism and SEMH needs feel a sense of belonging and support.

**Requirements:


• Relevant experience as an SEMH Teacher or in a similar role is preferred.


• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students with Autism and SEMH needs succeed.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively with the school team.


• Previous experience in supporting students with Autism and SEMH needs is advantageous.
