**The Role:** In this role, you will work directly with students who have Autism and associated learning challenges, helping them overcome barriers to their education. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing and implementing personalised learning strategies to help students with Autism access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  2. Regularly assessing student progress and providing insightful feedback to parents and colleagues to support their academic and social-emotional growth.
  3. Fostering a nurturing and secure environment, offering emotional guidance and encouragement to help students manage their anxieties and sensory sensitivities.
  4. Ensuring effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in each student's educational journey.
  5. Advocating for inclusivity within the school community, ensuring that students with Autism feel a sense of belonging and support.

**Requirements:** To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience as an SEN Teacher, particularly with students on the Autism spectrum.
  • A genuine desire to help students with Autism succeed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Previous experience in supporting students with Autism is highly advantageous.
