Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in Sheffield. As an Autism Specialist, you will provide essential support to students with autism, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised support plans, tailored to each student's unique needs and learning style.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to deliver effective interventions and support plans.
  • Provide sensory support and adaptations to help students feel comfortable and secure in the learning environment.
  • Work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to promote positive behaviour and improve academic outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably working with students with autism.
  • A deep understanding of autism and strategies to support individuals effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
