The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, directing, and managing service delivery, ensuring quality standards are met in all cases, including complex and high-risk situations.

The salary for this permanent role is approximately £60,864 per annum, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals with experience in social work and management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and motivating team members using a coaching approach to achieve quality standards and meet current and future requirements.
  • Developing team plans aligned with wider service strategies and ensuring necessary resources are available.
  • Maintaining and monitoring performance information, taking action as necessary to ensure key performance indicators are achieved.
  • Establishing effective working relationships with partners to develop collaborative services and partnership arrangements.
  • Assessing and managing risk, implementing operational arrangements for civil emergencies, and preparing business continuity plans.
  • Investigating concerns, complaints, critical incidents, and safeguarding matters in accordance with procedures.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • A social work qualification with registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in managing social work caseloads and supervising others.
  • Knowledge of children's health and social care systems, agencies, and relevant legislation.
