Senior Investigator Scientist in Bioinformatics

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Investigator Scientist in Bioinformatics to join our team at UK Research and Innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading research projects in computational cardiac imaging and bioinformatics, and will work closely with our team of scientists and clinicians to advance our understanding of cardiovascular disease.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead research projects in computational cardiac imaging and bioinformatics, including developing and applying new methods and techniques.
- Collaborate with our team of scientists and clinicians to design and conduct research studies, and to analyze and interpret data.
- Develop and maintain expertise in bioinformatics tools and techniques, including machine learning and statistical analysis.
- Supervise and mentor junior researchers and students, and contribute to the development of our research group.
- Communicate research findings through publications, presentations, and other media.
- PhD in a relevant field, such as bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field.
- Significant postdoctoral research experience in bioinformatics and computational cardiac imaging.
- Excellent programming skills in languages such as R and Python, and experience with bioinformatics tools and techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to conduct reproducible research and to develop and apply new concepts.
