The Senior Bioinformatics Scientist will spearhead the creation of cutting-edge genomic solutions aimed at enhancing treatment decisions based on the molecular characteristics of cancer, facilitating early detection, and monitoring of malignancies. This role primarily involves the development of innovative algorithms for next-generation sequencing (NGS) biomarkers critical for cancer diagnostics, as well as designing and executing data analyses for research and development studies to ensure our assays and algorithms fulfill performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with experimental and bioinformatics teams to design and analyze experiments that support both existing and new oncology assays.
  • Innovate and prototype algorithms for genomic biomarkers to address emerging molecular diagnostic requirements.
  • Offer technical expertise to both internal and external partners.
  • Engage in cross-functional research and development teams focused on assays and algorithms with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate plans and outcomes effectively across various functions.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in at least two areas: statistics, standard bioinformatics techniques, and NGS data analysis.
  • Experience in developing bioinformatics algorithms and methodologies for NGS.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python or C++.
  • Strong communication skills to contribute effectively to cross-functional project teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
