Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced investigator scientist to join our team at Lifelancer, a talent-hiring platform in Life Sciences, Pharma, and IT. As a Senior Investigator Scientist in Bioinformatics, you will play a key role in our collaboration with Calico Labs on human aging research.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have substantial research experience in machine learning, statistics, and bioinformatics, with a strong background in programming languages such as Python and R. You will be responsible for developing models for biological age prediction from multiple image-derived phenotypes, using a wide range of statistical tools, including gradient boosting algorithms and causal inference techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement machine learning models for biological age prediction
  • Develop and apply statistical tools, including gradient boosting algorithms and structural equation modeling
  • Collaborate with the Computational Cardiac Imaging Group to analyze cardiac motion and predict patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of new research projects and initiatives

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field, such as bioinformatics, machine learning, or statistics
  • Substantial research experience in machine learning, statistics, and bioinformatics
  • Strong programming skills in Python and R
  • Expert knowledge of statistical tools, including gradient boosting algorithms and causal inference techniques
