About the Role

Connex Education is seeking a qualified teacher to work with a student who requires one-to-one tuition due to their medical condition. The student has a diagnosis of Non-ketotic Hyperglycinaemia and requires a dynamic teaching style to engage and motivate them.

The role will involve working with the student in their home and occasionally in the local hospital, with a focus on sensory activities and building a rapport with the student.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-to-one tuition to the student
  • Develop and implement a tailored learning plan to meet the student's needs
  • Work with the student's medical team to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment

Person Specification

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Strong ability to engage and motivate reluctant learners
  • Resilience and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Driving license (preferred)
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to apply for a new one
