About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and other Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with ASC in the classroom and during other school activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement tailored education plans and behavior management strategies.
  • Support students in developing social skills, communication abilities, and independence.
  • Adapt learning materials and resources to meet the needs of students with ASC.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN and ASC support.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or other Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality within the school environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or SEN support are advantageous but not essential.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the role.
